Wheat & Beans

Wheat contains high levels of lectins. Generally, whole grains are known to contain lectins which stick to tubules of human kidneys and glomerular capillary [4] walls (filtration barrier). They cause IgA mesangial deposits in the kidney which may worsen nephropathy in humans. You can reduce the lectin content in wheat by cooking, soaking, and dry roasting.
Beans are one of the most consumed foods in the world. They are known to contain high levels of lectin. Studies show that red kidney beans contain a significantly large amount of lectin with positive and negative effects. Phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) is a type of lectin that is removed from the red kidney bean. It has antiviral properties. Some lectins are not affected by proteolytic enzymes. So, they can cause various health disorders in the circulatory system.
