Cloves and Other Seasonings

Studies showed that cloves are one of the richest sources of polyphenols. They contain a root Al of 15,188 mb of polyphenols per 100 g of cloves. Other seasonings like peppermints also contain about 11,960 mg of polyphenols.
Beans
Beans is known for its nutritional values, so it is not a surprise that it contains high levels of polyphenols. Studies show that white beans and white beans have the highest quantities of polyphenols. Black beans contain 59 mg per 100 g, and white beans have 51 mg.
Nuts
Nuts [6] may contain high levels of calories, but they have numerous nutritional benefits. They contain high amounts of protein, [7] and they also have high amounts of polyphenol. A study showed that both roasted and raw nuts contain high levels of polyphenols. Examples of nuts that contain high amounts of polyphenols include:
- Walnuts, with 28 mg polyphenols
- Almonds, with 187 mg polyphenols
- Hazelnuts, with 495 mg polyphenols
- Pecans, with 493 mg polyphenols
