Alcohol

It is generally advised to steer clear of alcohol [9] pre and post Cholecystectomy because it can worsen your health. Patients are advised to wait several weeks after surgery before taking alcohol. Alcohol should not be used while the medication is ongoing because a mixture of both could reopen surgical wounds and slow the healing process.
Saturated Fats

Foods like coconut oil, butter and palm oil are high in unhealthy fats called saturated lipids. This type of fats contributes to the build-up of gall stones by raising LDL cholesterol [10] levels, also increasing the risk of heart diseases. Eating foods high in fat, especially this kind after Cholecystectomy, may cause gastrointestinal irritation like bloating, stomach upset, and diarrhea.
