Medicare Part C, Part D & Medicare Supplement

Also referred to as Medicare Advantage. This involves private health insurance plans that combine the benefits of Medicare Part A and Part B, and sometimes Part D. Private health insurance is expected to cover everything that Original Medicare would cover. The premiums for Medicare Part C are sometimes higher, but they include things like covered services, participating doctors and copays, which are an advantage.
Medicare Part D [5] majorly covers prescription drugs. These include some oral chemotherapy drugs [6], pain medication, anti-nausea medication, and other medication that your doctor prescribes as part of your cancer treatment. This coverage isn’t a part of Medicare’s advantage. Different plans have different restrictions on which drugs they’ll cover.
Medicare supplements also referred to as Medigap are private insurance policies that help cover your share of Medicare costs. Medigap will require a paid premium and in exchange, the plan takes care of some copays and lower your coinsurance and deductible amount.
