Persian
Also called Iranian or Shiraz cats, Persians are sweet, flat-faced cats that are comfortable in quiet, calm environments and prefer the company of their owners to outsiders. They have beautiful luxurious coats that come in a variety of colors that require a lot of grooming so the fur does not mat. [3]
Persians are purebred cats that weigh 7 to 12 pounds and have a life expectancy of 10 to 17 years. [4] The cats can grow as tall as 18 inches.
Birman
Birmans are some of the most adorable cats. These beautiful furry cats typically have blue eyes and semi-longhaired coats. These cats are known for their pure white feet which are colored in a “glove” pattern.
They are calm, attention-loving, social cats that like to stick around their owners. They are often more inclined towards one person but are also good family pets.
This breed has a life expectancy of 13 to 15 years. [5] It weighs 10 to 12 pounds on average, with male Birmans being weighing more. They are available in many colors.
