Dog Pancreatitis: Symptoms and What to Do

Fever

Unlike humans, who have a normal temperature range of 97.6-99.6F degrees, dogs have higher normal temperatures: a range of 99.5 and 102.5F degrees. It is usually hard to tell when a dog has a fever. However, there are things to look out for; red eyes, warm ears, dry nose, coughing, vomiting, shivering, and other irregular conditions. Fever can also be a symptom of the following diseases: infected or abscessed tooth, ear infection [1], urinary infection [2], bacterial or viral disease, and organ failure (kidney and lungs). Consumption of poisonous materials such as antifreeze, medications meant for humans, xylitol, and toxic plants.
