Flaxseed

Flaxseed has numerous health benefits. It contains a high level of fiber and helps improve bowel movement. Studies show that 1 tablespoon serving of flaxseed contains 2.7 grams of fiber consisting of a mixture or soluble and insoluble fiber. A recent study in 2018 showed that diabetic patients who at 10g of flaxseed daily for 12 weeks experienced reduced constipation, blood fat levels, and improved blood sugar. Flaxseed also contributes to weight loss.
Another small study in people with chronic constipation discovered that eating flaxseed four with meals for four weeks reduced the participants’ symptoms of constipation.
