OB techs help to set up table of instruments and things that will be used during the delivery process such as oils for perineal massage [3], gauze, scissors and suture material. Their major job is to work with the doctor or midwife in the actual birth. It is almost impossible to meet them before the delivery. They have adequate knowledge on the kind of instruments used in a delivery room. They also make sure these instruments are in good condition, to prevent any unnecessary complication during birth.
