Caffeinated Drinks

Too much caffeine can trigger a migraine. Caffeine is found in lots of drinks including coffee, tea, soft drinks, and chocolate. Migraine sufferers are advised to stay away from hot cocoa or hot chocolate mixed with milk, as that is a recipe for a headache.
Food and Drink Additives
Processed or canned foods contain various additives to enhance the taste and flavor or to extend shelf life. Chemicals like nitrites, phenylalanine, aspartame and monosodium glutamate (MSG) can trigger head pain. Foods containing high amounts of additives and preservatives include soy sauce, meat tenderizers, and canned foods.
