Are Potassium & Vitamin K the Same?

What Is Vitamin K?

Vitamin K is a type of fat-soluble. First discovered in the 1920s, there are many different forms of vitamin K. Among these, vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 are the two most common types in our diet. Vitamin K1 or phylloquinone can be found in plant-based food sources, especially leafy green veggies. Around 75 to 90 percent of our consumed vitamin K is vitamin K1. Vitamin K2 can be found in animal products and fermented foods. Gut bacteria can also produce it. [2]
