Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: Symptoms, Diagnosis, Causes & Treatment

Loose joint

Joint hypermobility, or having a wider range of motion in a joint than normal, is one of the symptoms of EDS. Hypermobility may result from EDS’s impact on collagen function in your joints’ cartilage and tendons. All of the joints in the body are susceptible to EDS.

In moderate cases, a person may be able to move their joints farther than usual and may feel some little pain while performing daily tasks.

Joint looseness can affect nerve and muscle development in children.
