Symptoms of Heat Cramps

The symptoms of heat cramps occur gradually. In most cases, the first symptom you will experience is unintended muscle movements. However, you will only notice them after it has progressed. You will observe these symptoms if you have heat cramps:
- Muscle spasms, which can be debilitating
- Involuntary jerking movements
- Muscle pain, which can be serious
- Copious sweating
- Moist, flushed skin
- Running a fever
Voluntary muscles in the following areas are prone to heat cramps – legs, arms, back and abdomen.
Heat cramps generally occur for a short time. In some people, they come and go. You can visit your doctor immediately if you notice any symptoms to prevent any complications. It would help to know that heat cramps may stop without medical attention.
