Blurred Boundaries, Drinking Caffeine or Alcohol

Highly sensitive people have difficult times with boundaries. It could be personal or work related, this is due to the inability to say no to certain people, so they end up overworking themselves or overdoing things.
It eventually affects their sleep, preventing them from resting and getting adequate night rest. They often commit themselves to so many things.
There are so many reasons to stay away from caffeine and alcohol before sleeping. Even people that are not highly sensitive are advised to avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine before going to bed, because it can have negative effects on the quality of shut-eye.
Some research suggest that caffeine interferes with the circadian rhythm [2] by impeding the release and production of melatonin [3], making you more alert at night.
Alcohol disturbs the sleep cycle, leading to decrease in rapid eye movement (REM) sleep [4]. In most cases, highly sensitive people report being sensitive to the effects of alcohol [5] or both.
