Creating habits that remove stress throughout the day can make falling asleep much faster. Highly sensitive people are advised to be aware of their triggers and involve in mindfulness activities that work for you.

The following are basic habits for highly sensitive people to maximize their sleep.

  1. get out into nature during the day
  2. engage in physical activities during the day
  3. take breaks to relax, even if it is just of 5 minutes
  4. spend at least 3 hours a day by yourself
  5. get out of bed after 20 minutes if you can’t fall asleep
  6. do not put clocks or electronics in the bedroom with you
  7. reduce your intake of coffee, sugar and alcohol before bed
