How to Identify Insect (Bug) Bites?

Bee Sting

Bee stings usually vary from person to person but the most common symptoms of beestings are a white or pale spot around the area of the sting with a red swollen or itching center. Bee stings are usually accompanied by a sharp pain that may persist for a few minutes before fading to a dull throbbing ache. The site of the sting and the surrounding area might feel hot and itchy. In individuals with an allergic response to the venom in bee stings, there might be swelling around the area of the bite, the neck, the throat, and the lungs and airways which leads to difficulty in breathing.

Such a reaction is called anaphylaxis [2] and requires immediate medical attention and treatment. Allergic responses to bee stings include hives, dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea.

Non-allergic responses to bee stings can be treated with antibiotic ointments, pain relievers, and anti-histamine medication.
