How to Identify Insect (Bug) Bites?

Tick Bites

Tick bites look like every other insect bite except for one important difference; tick bites usually have a black dot in the middle. The size of this dot might vary depending on whether the head or mouthparts remain in the bite. Some ticks leave the pincers in the skin, which is characterized by a hardened bump underneath the punctured skin.

If the tick falls out of the skin, then the bite usually goes unnoticed and without further complications but oftentimes, ticks attach themselves to the site of the bite, sometimes even burrowing under the bite.

A tick bite characterized by rashes in an expanding ring pattern similar [3] to a bull’s eye is usually one of the first signs of Lyme disease. Rocky mountain disease is also a disease that an infected tick bite can cause. These diseases are dangerous and can be fatal if not treated urgently.
