Lucid Dreams: Definition, Techniques, and Benefits

Wake-up-back-to bed (WBTB)

This technique is mostly done with the mnemonic induction of lucid dreams (MILD) method. It involves disturbing sleep. After sleeping for a period, you can wake yourself up intentionally through an alarm, remain awake for a particular period, and then go back to sleep

Medications

Studies have shown that there are several drugs, such as supplements and medicinal plants [4] that affect sleep and dreams. They are exact functions or how they work is not known yet. It is important to conduct a medical doctor before using any of these medications to know if they can cause more harm than good.

Dream diary

People that keep records of their dreams experience more lucid dreams than those that don’t, because they are more focused on them. These diaries do not work on their own, they must be done with other techniques such as mnemonic induction of lucid dreams (MILD).
