Napping Is Making You Sleepier? Benefits and Tips to Know

Time of day

Experts suggest that the perfect time for a nap is the “afternoon lull” between 12 and 2 p.m. This time is perfect for people on a regular 9 to 5 schedule but different for a night or shift workers. If you are a student, you can take a short nap for 20 to 25. This can be helpful if it’s not too late in the day when you get home or if you don’t have insomnia.  After 20-25 minutes, you will feel strengthened, your memory will be enhanced, and your learning capability will be improved.

In addition, experts suggest that people who feel the urge to take a nap in the morning are lacking adequate sleep. If you feel the urge to sleep for longer than one hour, it means you have “qualitative or quantitative sleep deprivation.”  It is important to speak with your doctor if you always feel the urge to sleep in the morning, so they can observe any sleep problems, which include insomnia [4], and obstructive sleep apnea [5]. Generally, any sleep disorder that affects your sleep duration should be reported to your doctor immediately.
