Conclusion

Cholesterol embolism is caused when cholesterol breaks away from a plaque of a large artery and then stays in a small artery, therefore causing the movement of blood to other organs. This mostly occurs when the level of cholesterol is high in the blood. Age, being male, and health issues pose as high-risk factors for this condition. To avoid embolism take more fresh foods, exercise regularly, eat well-balanced meals and avoid trans-fat.
