Empliciti – Effectiveness, Side Effects, Cost, Dosage, and More

Effectiveness of Empliciti

Clinical studies have proved that Empliciti is very effective at stopping the worsening of multiple myeloma. Some of the conducted studies to prove the effectiveness of Empliciti include:

Use of Empliciti with lenalidomide and dexamethasone

In clinical trials to test out Empliciti, people with multiple myeloma were given either Empliciti with lenalidomide and dexamethasone, or lenalidomide and dexamethasone alone.

The study of the outcome showed that those that took the Empliciti combination had a lower risk for their disease to progress. After two years, those taking Empliciti with lenalidomide and dexamethasone had a 30% lower risk than patient that were taking the drug without Empliciti.

In another five years study, patient that took the drug with Empliciti combination had a 27% lower risk of their disease worsening than people taking lenalidomide and dexamethasone alone.

Use of Empliciti alongside pomalidomide (Pomalyst) and dexamethasone

Another clinical trial that was conducted to test the effectiveness of Empliciti involved the combination of pomalidomide and dexamethasone in comparison with Empliciti, pomalidomide and dexamethasone.

Study showed that people taking the Empliciti combination had a 46% lower risk of their disease getting worse after at least nine months of treatment, compared to people taking only the pomalidomide and dexamethasone.
