Clumsiness

Most people with AS face motor coordination issues. However, the sign is more common [4] in adults with the condition. Examples of the problems with coordination include problems performing tasks like walking or sitting appropriately. Motor skills like opening an envelope or tying shoes may be difficult.
Generally, clumsiness could occur due to unawareness or distraction from an individuals’ immediate environment. It could also be due to other medical conditions apart from AS. Stroke is one of the major illnesses that are related to clumsiness. However, stroke causes other symptoms like vertigo, muscle weakness or numbness, and slurred speech.
Other significant causes of clumsiness include anxiety and stress, seizures, alcohol, or other severe medical conditions like Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease. Major signs of Parkinson’s disease include loss of smell, soft or low voice.
