Risk factors

You are more likely than the average person to develop trigger finger if you have any of the following risk factors:

Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic condition caused by the body’s inability to effectively regulate the sugar levels in the blood. People with diabetes have an abnormally high glucose content in their blood. Besides this, the condition also increases their risk of developing many other medical conditions, including trigger finger. This risk increases if you suffer from diabetes and also have some of the other risk factors discussed in this article.
