Turmeric is used as a complementary therapy for treating blood clots. They stop coagulation cascade components or clotting factors (factor I, II and VII) to prevent formation of clots.
Ginger contains salicylate, a natural chemical found in plants. Salicylate are derived from salicylic acid. Acetylsalicylic acid is derived from salicylate and are called aspirin. They help to prevent heart attack and stroke. foods that contain salicylate such as avocados, berries, cherries and chilies help to treat blood clots that are not severe; they also help to prevent blood clots.
