Stress and anxiety levels can get to an extent where it begins to affect a person’s attention span and memory. People who are saddled with a lot of responsibilities either at home, work, school etc. usually get stressed and anxious due to these many obligations which also affect their ability to sleep well. Many times, just by easing stress and sleeping well, a person’s memory can improve. According to research published in the journal of pharmacy and bio allied sciences, chronic stress which is left untreated can result in depression which could also in turn affect the brain’s function.

Common signs of depression include sadness, irritability, restlessness, mood swings, feeling of hopelessness, excessive crying, social isolation, insomnia, lack of appetite, fatigue, thoughts of suicide, etc.
