5 Symptoms of Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever)

Sneezing

Hay Fever is usually caused by an allergic reaction when the body regards normally harmless substances or particles as harmful and thereby reacts to it. When pollen, dust mites, or any other allergen gets into your nose, they are likely to irritate your nose. The immune system kicks in, mistaking the substances for harmful foreign bodies, and fights against them.

This triggers chemical releases like histamine [3], which stimulates the brain and a sneeze is expected to force the pollen out. If you inhale more allergens with each new intake of air, you’ll continue to sneeze.
