Decongestants

The major function of decongestants is to decrease nasal swelling to keep them open. It could be in form of nasal spray or pill. Oral decongestants can work as a stimulant. You will feel the jitters, elevated heart rate, and increased blood pressure after using them.
Nasal steroid sprays
These steroid sprays are used to reduce nasal inflammation [3], nasal passage swelling, and drain congested areas by opening the blocked airways. It is important to know that results do not happen immediately, it takes a while.
In some cases, it takes 3 weeks to see the results of nasal sprays. This is why it is important to follow your doctor’s instructions. Drugs cannot correct a deviated septum, they only treat swollen mucous membranes, reducing pain.
