What to Know About FOLFOX?

FOLFOX is an acronym for a form of chemotherapy procedure used by doctors to treat colorectal cancer. It is derived from the three kinds of chemotherapy used when treating cancer, they include FOLinic acid, Fluorouracil and Oxaliplatin.

FOLFOX is similar to other kinds of chemotherapy because it involves the use of drugs to prevent the growth or replication of cancer cells. In some cases, doctors recommend the use of different drugs to fight cancer cells from different angles.
