More nutrients are present in colostrum from cows than in milk from other animals.

In comparison to cow’s milk, it has more protein, fat, carbohydrates, magnesium, B vitamins, and vitamins A, C, and E.

While colostrum is abundant in macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals, the majority of its alleged health advantages are connected to certain protein components, such as:

  • Lactoferrin [1]. The immune system of your body employs the protein lactoferrin to fight off infections, including those brought on by bacteria and viruses.
  • Growth elements. Growth factors are hormones that stimulate growth. Bovine colostrum is especially high in two protein-based hormones, insulin-like growth factors 1 and 2, or IGF-1 [2] and IGF-2 [3].
  • Your immune system uses proteins called antibodies, also referred to as immunoglobulins, to combat viruses and bacteria. IgA, IgG, and IgM antibodies are abundant in cow colostrum.
