Breast Implants: Types, Surgery, Recovery & More

After a Breast Implant Procedure

Following the breast implant process, your healthcare professional will wrap your breasts in a specialized bra that is supportive or a compression band. Your anesthesiologist will stop injecting you with anaesthetic to keep you sleeping. As soon as you wake up, you will be taken to a recovery area where medical professionals will keep an eye on your general health.

When you awaken, you can feel groggy, your breasts might hurt, and your chest might feel tight. Your overall health may be observed for several hours by your medical professionals. They will discharge you (let you go home) as soon as they decide you no longer require monitoring. For the first 24 hours after your breast implant procedure, you must be driven home and looked after by a family member or friend.

After your breast implant treatment, your body should typically take six to eight weeks to completely recuperate.
