Side Plank

Similar to push-ups the plank is another exercise with a variation that challenges the biceps. It involves exerting the body weight on the arm. It is important that this exercise is done properly for you to see its effect on the biceps.

How to perform a side plank

  • First, take a standard push-up position
  • Slowly turn your body to one side with the elbow of one of your arms resting on the ground
  • Raise the other arm to point straight upward
  • Your form is very important. Both arms should be aligned and your back be straight. Maintain this position for half a minute.
  • Return to the traditional plank position and switch to your other side. Repeat for each side.
