Green Tea

Green tea contains high amounts of catechins, which are antioxidant compounds that prevent cell damage and reduce free radicals’ formation in the body. Moreover, according to Harvard researchers, the antioxidants in green tea may be useful in lowering bad cholesterol levels. Lastly, green tea is effective at increasing levels of good (HDL) cholesterol.
Dark Chocolate

Cocoa products may have the ability to lower the level of bad cholesterol and total cholesterol. Please note that these cocoa products include dark chocolates. Due to the presence of cocoa flavanols, there is an inhibition of cholesterol absorption, including LDL receptors’ expression. It’s advisable to consume a bar of chocolate with 70 percent or more cocoa solids.
