Added Sugars

Cane sugar, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup are examples of supplemental sugars that are added to meals. While these sugars give many of our favorite snacks a sweet flavor, they provide very few nutrients and may even exacerbate the symptoms of neuropathy.
Regular soft drinks, candies, milk chocolate, sugary cereals, pancake syrup, jellies, frozen desserts, commercially baked cakes, cookies, pastries, and pies are some common sources of added sugars. They are high-glycemic and can impact the body’s blood sugar levels, just like refined carbohydrates. Additionally, low nutritional intake is frequently linked to diets high in added sweets.
Choose healthy foods containing natural sugars, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, instead of sugary snacks to guard against nutritional shortages that could increase neuropathic symptoms 5].
