Although there is no proof that gluten is in-fact unhealthy, lots of people have become label readers to ensure that they are eating gluten-free foods. Many people are allergic to this protein. It can trigger inflammation or swelling of the organs and can suffer damage to the intestinal tracts when they eat foods containing gluten.
Gluten interferes with the body’s ability to absorb nutrients, and in more serious cases can lead to osteoporosis, infertility, nerve damage, and seizures.
