How expensive is a Medicare MSA?
Contrary to popular opinion, having a Medicare MSA plan does not stop you from paying for your Medicare Part B monthly premium. In fact, you will need to pay for your Medicare Part B [5] monthly premium and a premium to qualify for Medicare Part D [6] separately.
After receiving your first deposit, you can transfer the money to a savings account from your MSA. The savings account should be created by another financial organization. You will have to follow the rules of the institution about interest rates, minimum balances, or transfer fees. You will be penalized if you withdraw money for any purposes other than approved health costs.
