Diarrhea can be very frustrating for dog owners because it can mean that your puppy could have a potentially fatal virus to basic indigestion. There are so many severe or minor puppy diseases that have diarrhea as their symptom, making it difficult for owners to know whether is serious, or not. Some of the most common reasons for puppies to have diarrhea include:
Stress
Puppies can be stressed when it just moves to a new home, meeting new people and animals, learning to walk on a leash, veterinarian visits and vaccinations. Diarrhea related to stress usually occurs within hours to a day of the stressful event, and normally resolves quickly on its own. Adjusting to routines of your household is most times sufficient to cause stress-related diarrhea.
