More Serious Side Effects
Although it isn’t common, there can be more severe side effects of brilinta. If you experience any severe side effects, you should immediately call your doctor, but call your local emergency number in case of a medical emergency.
Some of the most common side effects that have been reported include:
- Abnormally slow heart rate
- Boxed warnings such as excessive bleeding and the negative effect of brilliant when it interacts with specific doses of aspirin and other drugs.
- Fainting
- Trouble breathing
- Confusion
- Trouble speaking
- Vision problem
- Interrupted breathing while sleeping
- Signs of blood clotting
- Allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, dizziness, and trouble breathing.
Note that your doctor will only prescribe this medication for you if he sees that the benefits outweigh the risks of side effects. Still, if not attended to, side effects can worsen your conditions. Contact your doctor as soon as you observe any severe side effects.
