Severe side effects

Severe side effects from Dupixent are rare, but they can occur. Contact your doctor right away if you have serious side effects. These side effects and their symptoms are:

  • Eye problems in people with eczema (atopic dermatitis) or chronic rhinosinusitis. Symptoms are; changes in vision, eye pain, new or worsening eye problems.
  • Eosinophilic conditions, such as pneumonia and vasculitis.
  • Severe allergic reaction.

Allergic reaction

As with other medications, some people can have an allergic reaction after using Dupixent. Symptoms of a moderate allergic reaction can include:

  • skin rash
  • itchiness
  • flushing (warmth and redness in your skin)
  • hives

A more chronic allergic reaction is rare but possible. Symptoms of a chronic allergic reaction are:

  • swelling under your skin, typically in your eyelids, lips, hands, or feet
  • swelling of your tongue, mouth, or throat
  • trouble breathing
