Nasal decongestants & Epinephrine shot

Nasal decongestants [3] are often recommended because many allergic reactions make the nose stuffy and inflame the sinuses. Nasal decongestant sprays, pills, or liquids, can help relieve these symptoms.

You should not take this medication continuously for a long time. If your symptoms do not get better, you should probably see a doctor. Your doctor may prescribe more effective medications for your allergies.

If you are prone to having severe allergies, it might be wise to have an epinephrine shot [4] with you at all times. This is especially useful when you have an anaphylactic shock. Giving yourself a shot can help manage your symptoms until medical care arrives.
