How Much Water Should a Toddler Drink?

Do Young Children Need a Lot of Water?

You got it, water is crucial. But how much exactly does your child require? There is no one ideal serving size, however some experts advise 1 cup every day for every year of age, thus 1 cup at 1 year, 2 cups at 2 years, and so on.

Age, sex, and degree of exercise all factor into how much water a child requires, says Shea.

For children between the ages of 1 and 3, it’s ideal to aim for around 2 and 4 cups (16 and 32 ounces) of water per day. This will give them enough liquid to suit their needs, along with the milk they consume and the fluids in their diet.
