Sugary Foods

Most protein-rich foods and meals containing sugar are linked to high uric acid levels. Foods containing added sugars like table sugar, corn syrup, or high fructose corn syrup are inadvisable for gout patients. Moreover, it’s crucial to check through food labels before purchasing any packaged food that may increase blood sugar levels.
Whole Grains

Examples of whole grains are bran, oatmeal, and wheat germ. These types contain moderate amounts of purines. Hence, the intake of whole grains should be reduced due to its purine content. Lowering the intake of foods with a high glycemic index (GI) tends to lower the possibility of gout attacks. According to a 2006 study, it was discovered that reducing the GI in foods reduces uric acid levels. [5]
