Medicare Part D & Medigap Plans
Medicare Part D is specifically for prescription drug plan. Although it has generally high drug prices than the VA plans, it may cover drugs that are not covered by the VA. Part D plans also allows you to do to your preferred retail pharmacy and fill prescription from non-VA doctors.
Medigao is a supplemental plan that helps in covering emergency situations or for when you are traveling outside the U.S. They are also helpful if you do not live near a VA-approved provider or medical facility or if you are in a lower-priority VA benefit group.
