How to enroll in Medicare?
Enrolling for Medicare is easy and can be done online. But there are a few things to note:
- If you are getting closer to age 65, you may enroll during the initial enrollment period. You start enrollment in Medicare Part A and B three months before you turn age 65, the month of your birthday, and three months after you turn 65 years old.
- If you are not enrolled, and you need to make changes to an existing Medicare part A or B, or are over 65 but still looking to enroll, the open enrollment period is January 1 to March 31 every year.
