Meat

Similar to other protein sources like eggs and shellfish, meat also contains a fair amount of zinc. Red meat, specifically, is an excellent source of zinc. Different types of meat that contain zinc are pork, beef, and lamb. In 100 grams of raw beef, 44% of the DV is present. In this same amount of beef, one can get 20 grams of protein, 176 calories, and 10 grams of fat. Please ensure that processed meat intake is lowered to the bare minimum to avoid risk of heart disease [5] and cancer.
Vegetables

Vegetables are not significant sources of zinc in general. However, there are some specific types of vegetables that contain them. These types can also contribute to the daily requirement for zinc in the human body. For instance, an averagely large potato contains 9% of the DV. Other potatoes like kale and green beans contain lower amounts of zinc.
