Aspartame

According to the Environmental protection agency, aspartame is a chemical substance that causes neurotoxicity. It contains toxins that affect the functions of the nervous system. It is a chemical substance produced from methanol, phenylalanine, and aspartate. Aspartame is broken down in the body into its components. Its major component, methanol, is then converted into formaldehyde. The US department of labor describes formaldehyde as a toxic and hazardous substance that should be consumed. Recent studies show that it has serious carcinogenic effects and taking it regularly will make you more likely to develop cancer.
Various research show that people who take aspartame regularly are more likely to develop leukemia [3] and non-Hodgkins lymphomas [4]. The negative effects of aspartame are so much that a book could be written on it.
